In case you haven’t haven’t heard of Clickbank before, this is an US based affiliate network. Probably one of the biggest (if not biggest) in the world especially when you have products which you sell via ebooks.
Anyway, like many of you readers I haven an iPhone and a massive fan of the iPhone apps. I do some affiliate marketing and especially with Clickbank for a few of my websites and I want to know when I make a sale.
I had a look in the Apple App store to find a proper Clickbank app. Actually I found 10.
Ranging from $ 0 dollars to $9.99 there were some differences in the actual applications so it was about time to review these as the one that was most expensive was not working (and still isn’t) which is giving me the absolute sh*ts.
The Free Clickbank Apps:
CBAPP - Easy and Free. What more do you really want? You can search your transactions and it has limited analytics and reporting. This application is just great to check your stats and that is it.
FlickBank- This free app shows your weekly ClickBank earnings. The free version only allows you to access one ClickBank account, but a forthcoming paid version of the app will allow you to track multiple accounts with a combined earnings screen, and includes daily sales tracking, ClickBank sales alerts sent to your phone, and more.
CheckCB- The newest ClickBank iPhone app to come along, this free app allows affiliates to check their sales stats for up to 10 accounts. Features reporting on daily stats, weekly stats, paychecks, transactions, and more. For a free app, this app seems to have a lot of functionality!
Affiliate Profit - This app simply retrieves data from multiple affiliate and advertising networks and calculates the profit in a few seconds rather than doing it the tedious way of logging in each network separably and doing the math yourself. Like the usual affiliate accounts, you can access networks like; Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft AdCenter
The Paid Clickbank Apps:
CB Analyze - ($2,99 in Australian store) Track all your Clickbank Stats in one place and get your notifications directly to your phone. The CB Analyze Dashboard will show you the total profits you have achieved for all your accounts in one location, then you will be able to select individual accounts to track your sales and affiliate profits.
iBusiness - ($4,49 in Australian store) This is quite an expensive application, especially when it keeps crashing on me and was the reason for this blogpost. I’ve tried to re-download it and it logs in once but that is it. It does allow you to have i.e. Clickbank (vendor and affiliate) accounts as well as Commission Junction, Clickbooth and Copeac accounts. But what is the point if the application keeps crashing.
CB Stats- This ($2.99 in Australian Store) Application in the US version includes daily sales reporting and allows you to enable a PIN code that protects people from seeing your ClickBank sales reports if anyone gets a hold of your phone. They plan to release more features in future updates, such as the ability to store multiple accounts, more detailed sales reporting for different periods of time, and more.
iMReports - This is the most expensive application ($9,99) I have come across so far but does look like one of the most thorough designed applications around. You can see daily and weekly sales, search your transactions and have analytics all on your iPhone. You can also connect more than one account to this application and actually compare your accounts on the amount of sales.
Other useful applications:
CB Calculator- (Australian Store) This is a completely different type of app. It allows you to perform several different types of calculations, such as a commission calculator to see how much you’ll earn on a sale, a refund rate calculator, a Max CPC calculator to show you the maximum you should bid on a keyword to still be profitable, and a Pay Per Click ROI calculator.
Affiliate Marketing Calculator- $1,99 in US Store- This is a completely different type of app. It allows you to perform several different types of calculations, such as a commission calculator to see how much you’ll earn on a sale, a refund rate calculator, a Max CPC calculator to show you the maximum you should bid on a keyword to still be profitable, and a Pay Per Click ROI calculator. This app was designed with ClickBank in mind, and at only $1.99, it may pay for itself very quickly!
There might be others out there in different stores so please share these in the comments. This post cost me about 20 bucks but I hope it can save you some money by avoiding the ones that don’t work and test drive the free ones first before buying the other apps.
Talk soon,
Ralph
