Depending if you are a frequent visitor of various online marketing or affiliate websites but you may have seen the word PLR or the phrase Article Marketing fly by.
If you don’t know what PLR is the following explanation might help. Private Label Rights (PLR) Content is which is one of (if not THE) best resources for your online business. This type of marketing is ideal for people who:
- New to Internet marketing or online business and have never heard of private label rights content.
- Wondering WHY content is necessary to online business success.

- Searching for a way to save money and time in your business without sacrificing quality.
- Looking for a refresher on PLR.

When do you use PLR Articles?
This is different for a lot of people but I like to use it if there is a topic that I know a little bit about but want to build a website around that topic. For some topics there might not be a PLR package but if you are lucky there is. This saves you a lot of time to build a website which is of high quality.
The articles of EasyPLR.com are very high of quality and I have used that website a few times and have been blown away by the amount of content you get.
The articles are sold multiple times, so the chances are that the same content is on other sites but that is the way of the game. However, the amount of package are limited. Usually these go in packs of 100 but also less, so you get some great quality content which is only available in a very short time frame. You can just use the whole article as is and copy and paste it to your blog. You can also use it as a foundation for another post you are writing. This is totally up to you.
Ghostwriting an Ebook
I’ve bought a great PLR package a while ago and I am planning on using that to create an eBook. That eBook will be my teaser to have people sign up to my newsletter on one of my other websites. I’ve started to re-write the package as I do know a lot about that topic so I can show a little bit of myself in that eBook.
Create a newsletter broadcast
If you want something special for your newsletter readers that is not visible on the website you could use a PLR article. If you’re building a relationship with your readers, you do want the article to sound like you, so it is wise to re-write the article. However, you can grap a certain section from a PLR article and use that as a starting point so you can finish writing a high quality newsletter in no time.
Create your mini Ecourse
If you purchase a package of PLR articles based on a wordpress-theme or a plugin, it’s quite easy to turn them into an ecourse. You can add these really easily to your email autoresponder so you provide some value over a few days without too much effort!
Use them in your YouTube video’s and podcast
Take a PLR article and use it as inspiration for a video tutorial or podcast. You already have the script so why not make a video out of it. Video’s and Podcasts are crazy hot items these days and are really becoming massive traffic generators.

I’ve never written PLR articles though I’ve sold a lot of content over the last months. The fact is I don’t know exactly how this works and why people want to own some content that another website already haves. I’m all for unique content and I always written unique content for my clients.

I’ve never written any PLR articles but I have bought a few and I was surprised with the amount of text. PLR are really good for small niche sites or clickbank sales pages. You still have to edit and work on the sites but it gives you a starting point.
How did you sell your content?
